Here are five ways you can participate in the Tucson Chapter:
Join the chapter. By joining the chapter your dues will be used to support our community support projects like awarding ROTC scholarships or JROTC awards. Click here to read about ROTC scholarships recently awarded. Click here to join our chapter!
Attend chapter luncheons. Attending chapter luncheons is a great way to stay socially connected and to hear about opportunities to serve with the chapter. Click here for information on our luncheons!
Volunteer with us. For a listing of vacant chapter leadership positions, click here. Other volunteer opportunities include presenting JROTC awards and laying Christmas wreaths during Wreaths Across America. As a chapter member we'll inform you of volunteer opportunities as they arise.
Donate funds to support our activities. We give out three ROTC scholarships of $2,000.00 each every spring; donations are always appreciated to fund these scholarships. Click here to read about the last ROTC scholarships we awarded.
Advocate for legislation. As a member of MOAA you can access the Legislative Action Center on MOAA's website by clicking here. As a chapter member you'll be informed of proposed Arizona state legislation that could affect uniformed service members and their families. At the state level your advocacy is very important; we'll tell you who your senator and representative is and how to contact them to advocate for (and sometimes against) proposed legislation. Click here to read about proposed Arizona legislation in the latest issue of our newsletter, The Territorial.
