Volunteers Needed
Here are our volunteer needs as of 1 January 2023:
- Vice President/Program Chair. A volunteer is needed to fill the First Vice President Position. In that position the individual also
coordinates programs at the monthly luncheon, primarily finding and coordinating speakers for the monthly luncheons.
- Chaplain. A volunteer is needed to serve as the chapter's chaplain. No formal degree or assignment as a pastor, ministor or chaplain
is needed. The Chaplain provides prayers at luncheons and sends cards and calls chapter members and their spouses on news of any illness or death.
- Personal Affairs Officer. A volunteer is needed to be the chapter's Personal Affairs Officer. The Personal Affairs Officer serves as the primary
point of contact for issues associated with military rights and entitlements. When called up the Personal Affairs Officer assists members and survivors with the submission
of inquiries, applications, and claims to governmental agencies such as the VA, military personnel offices and finance centers, and Social Security offices. The officer also
keeps members informed, generally by means of a chapter's newsletter, about facilities and services in the area such as commissaries, exchanges, hospitals, medical clinics,
dispensaries and officers' clubs.
- Public Relations Liaison.A volunteer is needed to serve as the Public Relations Liaison. The Public Relations Liaison with provide information to local
media outlets regarding chapter events, and provide periodic contact with local community organizations. The Public Relations Liaison will ensure all chapter activities are
documented through photographs or video and share those with the newsletter editor.
